Airport Pickup and transportation to Indigo Hotel
Pick-up and transportation has been coordinated. You should expect to see either your name on a sign or "Cap-Net" since a couple of you arrive at the same time and will be going as a group to the Hotel.

Currency
The currency here is the Colón, 504Colones/1USD more or less.
We discourage the currency exchange at the airport since their rates are very unfriendly. It's common that taxi drivers and restaurants receive dollars anyways, especially in tourist areas.
Partners
Your accomodations have also been reserved by us at the hotels, they are under your names. We need your confirmation of arrival and in case you are coming back to San José after the Partner Meeting and staying here, we will also arrange your transportation from Los Sueños back to Indigo if you would like it so. Indigo Hotel agreed to facilitate local transportation to your meeting downtown during those days, so let us know in order to coordinate.

Annual Meeting: logistics II
Cap-Net's Annual Meeting and 10yr anniversary celebration is coming up and we are wrapping up with logistic details, getting ready to host you.
Some more practical information for you before your trip:
Weather and temperature
Costa Rica is a country close to the equator, of tropical climate. The locals like to say there are two main seasons here rainy and rainier, luckily for us the meeting will take place in the Pacific Coast, a dryer and warmer area.
Nonetheless weather here is kind of a gamble so you should still prepare for light rain in the afternoons.
Anniversary dinner celebration
On Tuesday November 13, you will be treated to Cap-Net's 10 year anniversary dinner. We will go to a special spot to enjoy the sunset and be a part of a nice dinner.
*we have gotten few replies as to dietary restrictions and allergies, help us help you and fill us in in any necessary info.
Thursday Field Trip
If you are coming for the Annual Meeting and will still be with us on Thursday you will come with us on a field trip to an island nearby where we will get a first approach of climate change manifestations on small islands. We will also get the chance to hike and relax on the beach. For this field trip we recommend light clothes, a hat, sunblock and comfortable shoes. You might also want to bring a bathing suit and beach appropriate clothes this day since there will be some free time.
